Newly sworn-in Sen. George Helmy introduced his first bill in the United States Senate.

Helmy wants to rename several prominent facilities at the Paterson Great Falls National Historic Park in honor of the late Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr.

Helmy says that Pascrell dedicated his life to serving New Jersey and the community of Paterson. He says he wants Pascrell’s legacy enshrined in the same place he fought to designate as a national historic park.
