State AG's office releases Manchester PD's 911 call and bodycam footage of Shannon Rose death

The New Jersey Office of Attorney General on Wednesday released the 911 call and bodycam footage from the Manchester Township Police Department of the events leading up to a fatal police-involved shooting back in December.
Shannon Rose, 39, died on Dec. 5 during an encounter with police officers.
The footage shows a tense standoff between Rose and officers, which came after his wife made a call to 911.
“He is talking about hurting himself and we have weapons in the house,” Rose’s wife told police.
After police arrived on the scene, they tried to talk Rose down for over 20 minutes.
Officers found him by a fence with his hands up and a rifle hanging from a shoulder strap.
"Shannon, do not go for that weapon do not move do you understand me,” the officers said on the video.
Rose grew more agitated and never surrendered his weapon despite multiple requests from the officers, which led them to shoot him. He was pronounced dead shortly after the incident.
The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office continues to investigate the matter.
