Police investigate 2 attempted car burglaries in Summit

Summit police are looking for the person or persons involved in attempted car burglaries.

Police say a man was seen breaking into vehicles at a house on Iris Road. The incident was recorded on the home’s doorbell security camera. Homeowners told police over the weekend that the suspect was seen entering and searching the unlocked cars parked in the driveway.

A similar incident happened on the same road, according to police. A man was caught on camera attempting to open two parked cars in a nearby driveway. Both vehicles were locked, according to police.

The suspect in both incidents was seen leaving the scene on foot. No items were taken.
