The two top candidates in New Jersey's senate race, both Democrats, faced off in the state’s first senate debate.

Congressman Andy Kim went after First Lady Tammy Murphy for her Republican past. However, the two candidates did agree on some issues, like universal healthcare. But they don't see eye-to-eye on how to go about making changes.

New Jersey's senate primary is in June. It's the seat held by Bob Menendez who is under federal indictment. He has not said whether he'll run again.
