Officials: West Milford Council Member Conlon charged with sexual harassment

A West Milford council member has been charged with criminal sexual contact and harassment, officials announced on Thursday.

Passaic County prosecutors say Matthew Conlon, of West Milford, is accused of inappropriately touching an adult victim in an unwelcome manner at a residence in the township.

Conlon was charged with fourth-degree criminal sexual contact and harassment as well as a petty disorderly persons offense.

The sentencing on fourth-degree criminal sexual contact is up to 18 months in state prison. Sentencing for petty disorderly persons harassment is up to 30 days in county jail.
