US Dept. HHS unveils plans to prevent hospitals from suffering cybersecurity attacks

The United States Department of Health and Human Services is unveiling plans for stricter fines against health providers with insufficient security efforts.

This comes after multiple hospitals across the country – including in New Jersey – had to divert emergency room patients because of cybersecurity attacks.

In addition to facing fines, hospitals could get more money and training to prevent these types of incidents.
