A Bridgewater man is facing several charges after engaging in a standoff with a SWAT team for four hours on Friday.

Authorities say concerned family members of a woman called police at around 7:30 a.m. Police say Alonzo Blakey had been holding the woman against her will and threatening to hurt her and himself inside a house on Columbia Drive.

Police found him barricaded inside when they arrived at the scene.

Officers were eventually able to enter the home, where they found both individuals with stab wounds. Authorities say Blakey’s wounds were self-inflicted.

Authorities say both were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive. Blakey will also face later face a detention hearing.
