Heavy rain is expected in parts of New Jersey late Friday night into Saturday.

Union, Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Bergen counties are under a flood watch through Saturday evening. Pockets of moderate to heavy rain on Saturday may lead to localized street flooding.

While I don't think the day is a complete washout, we can expect the showers to move through in waves. Forecasting fingers are crossed that the rain begins to taper around 3 p.m.

Winds will start up from the west and start to usher in more seasonable October temperatures. Some of the cooler air will be felt by Monday morning. Some neighborhoods in northwestern New Jersey could be waking up with lows in the upper 30s.
