A shooting in Newark Monday night left one person dead and two people injured – including a 6-year-old child, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Authorities say that the shooting happened on the 300 block of Clinton Avenue just after 10 p.m. They say that police officers found three people suffering from gunshot wounds. They were taken to University Hospital for treatment.

Victor Roberts, 28, was pronounced dead. A 24-year-old woman was also injured.
A motive for the shooting was unclear. No arrests have been made.
