Paramus police urge residents not to partake in ‘forgotten baby’ prank
Police say that it appears that the baby was a doll, and that incident was supposed to be a prank filmed for social media.

The Paramus Police Department is expressing concern about a series of pranks that took place in town this weekend.
Police say that a white Tesla T3 with New York license plates was seen driving in the parking lots of the Paramus Park Mall and the Garden State Plaza Mall on Saturday with a baby seat with what appeared to be an infant riding on the roof.
Police say that it appears that the baby was a doll, and that incident was supposed to be a prank filmed for social media.
Police believe that someone was filming the incidents to get bystanders’ reactions. They are urging the public not to engage in such pranks.
“This prank is extremely hazardous to the motoring public and dangerous to the prankster depending on the reaction he gets from the ‘bystander-turned-good-doer’ in our busy shopping malls,” police wrote in a statement.
The July 3 incidents happened about 30 minutes apart, according to police. The vehicle left the area in both incidents before police arrived.
