Thursday marks the third straight day of smoky conditions throughout New Jersey. Several outdoor events at the Jersey Shore have been canceled or delayed.

Point Pleasant’s Beach Grand Prix is canceled this weekend due to the poor air quality, visibility and travel delays. Safety concerns forced organizers to reschedule.

The Cousin Brucie show scheduled for Thursday night at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel has been postponed.

There is no relief from the smoke along the beaches as orange skies and smoke blanketed the area. Jenkinson's Beach was closed Thursday, along with outdoor attractions.

Jenkinson's hopes to reopen the beach for Friday and the weekend depending on the air quality levels. Indoor attractions are open on the boardwalk.
