Officials: Man arrested for fatal hit-and-run back in January
News 12 has learned that the man responsible for a fatal hit-and-run back in January has been arrested.

Police have confirmed to News 12 an arrest has made been made in the case of a deadly hit-and-run back in January.
They say Monday the driver was arrested after they ran down a family of three in Newark, leaving 5-year-old Fanta Sangare dead and her father, Ousmane and 2-year-old sister Remata injured. Ousmane’s leg was broken, and his skull fractured; Remata had head and facial injuries.
"We were crossing the street, this guy comes behind us and killed my daughter and injuring me,” said Ousmane.
The hit-and-run was caught by a surveillance camera at a nearby grocery store.
"I'm very happy,” added Ousmane. “I'm very happy they find him.”
Ousmane says Remata has made a complete recovery in the last four months.
Police have not released the driver's name and the official charges.
