Two people have been arrested in the murder of a bystander in Jersey City last month.
James Wheeler, 19, and Marquis Allen, 18, are accused in the murder of Larry Freeman. Freeman was shot and killed on May 27 near the corner of Bramhall Avenue and Sackett Street in Jersey City.
Freeman was fixing a neighbor's car when he was shot. It is believed that Freeman was not the intended target.
Wheeler and Allen were charged with murder and firearms offenses. They are being held at the Hudson County Jail on $500,000 bail.
