? Two people were shot in Newark Wednesday night, one fatally, just hours after a peace rally was held in the city.

Police were called to a report of shots fired at the Garden Spires housing complex just after 11 p.m. There, they found two men shot in the parking lot. One died later in the night, the other is in critical condition at UMDNJ. The identities of the victims have not been released.

The shooting took place just hours after dozens took to the streets as part of a peace rally in the city.
