Two Linden men were arrested and charged last week in connection with an incident at a movie theater in July in which several vehicles were vandalized, authorities said.
Joye Dossantos-Rosario, 21, and Kyle Williams, 22, were taken into custody last Thursday without incident and charged with third-degree criminal mischief after a series of vehicles were damaged at the AMC Aviation 12 Movie Theater. Both men have since been released pending an appearance in Superior Court later this week.
Police said officers responded to the movie theater on July 19 after movie goers exited the theater and found damage to their vehicles in the parking lot. During the course of the investigation, a video of the incident was found on Instagram, authorities said.
Dossantos-Rosario and Williams were identified as the men in the video, and several other victims, many who did not initially report damage to their vehicles, were located during the investigation, police said.
“We are proud of the work done to arrest these men,” Linden Police Chief Jonathan Parham said in a written statement.  “This kind of behavior will not be tolerated, and we will persevere in apprehending anyone who engages in it.”
