Police are investigating after they say two people were shot early Sunday morning in Newark.
Community activists say that a man and a 7-year-old girl were shot in the incident on Astor Street.
Residents say they are fed up with the shootings, especially of children.
On Dec. 30, a 2-year-old was shot and killed, and days before that, another 2-year-old was beaten to death.
So far, officials have not released the names or conditions of the two victims in the latest shooting.
