An 18-year-old has died after he was shot near a convenience store in Williamsburg on Wednesday night, police said.

Police identified him as Jayden Velasquez, of Brooklyn.

The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. in front of 160 Havemeyer St.

Video from the scene shows officers gathered outside a store as police tape blocked off part of the sidewalk.

Velasquez was found with gunshot wounds to his face and torso. Paramedics rushed him to Bellevue Hospital, where he later died.

It is still unclear what happened before the shooting, who opened fire or why.

Police sources say investigators are looking for a man who was last seen wearing a white shirt and light-colored pants. He was seen going east on Havemeyer Street.

No arrests have been made.
