Matawan-Aberdeen students now have access to a new outdoor fitness court in Monmouth County.

The court features seven zones of full-body circuit training and includes gym equipment set up outside.

It was funded by about $100,000 in grant money and another $45,000 from donations and sponsors.

"This fitness court is a wonderful example of partnership across public and private sector," said Assistant School Superintendent Michael Liebmann. "We encourage everyone to walk, jog and cycle to our new fitness court, and spend a little more time outside every day."

Officials say the court will be open to the public when school is not in session.
