Police have arrested two men in connection with a shooting on Bunns Lane in Woodbridge that has left one person injured today.
Authorities say a female resident of the Woodbridge Garden Apartments returned home with her boyfriend this morning to discover two people exiting their apartment and then returning to their car.
Police say the boyfriend, whose identity hasn't been released, confronted the suspects, one of whom shot him three times in the legs. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive.
The two suspects fled on foot. State police, K-9 units and helicopters were called in to help with the search.
Police say one of the men was found in a Dumpster with the help of the K-9 unit and arrested.
Officials say the second suspect eluded capture and was seen running across nearby Route 9. A local school was placed on lockdown and residents were asked to remain indoors. Police arrested the man later this afternoon.
