Parts of a moped, medical gloves and a trail of blood lay on the University Heights sidewalk on Tuesday after a crash between a moped and a white car.

FDNY says the collision happened on Monday at around 11:58 p.m. in front of 2545 University Ave. One person was transported to Saint Barnabas Hospital.

Citizen video shows a white car blocking the street as the moped lays on its side nearby. Bystanders gathered around a person laid out on the sidewalk, while others jumped into action to direct traffic until EMS crews arrived.

It’s still unclear if the person hospitalized was the operated of the moped.
