Gov. Murphy: 31 new coronavirus cases, state total up to at least 98

Murphy says he is planning to close schools, potentially have the state employees work from home, and considering implementing a curfew.

Gov. Murphy: 31 new coronavirus cases, state total up to at least 98
Gov. Phil Murphy announced Sunday 31 new coronavirus cases in the state, bringing the total to at least 98.

Two people in the state have died from the virus.
State health officials say they are preparing to potentially reopen shuttered hospitals to deal with an anticipated influx of patients. 
Murphy says he is planning to close schools, potentially have the state employees work from home, and considering implementing a curfew.

Hoboken officials announced two cases there. Both are men -- one in his 30s and the other in his 40s. They are both in self isolation at home.
This comes after Mayor Ravi Bhalla implemented a 10 p.m. curfew starting Sunday.
Asbury Park and Middlesex County have also declared a state of emergency.

Essex County officials confirmed two coronavirus cases in the Brick City -- one is a city resident and the other is a health care worker at University Hospital.

Newark Mayor Ras Baraka has issued an executive order asking people to stay home unless absolutely necessary. Two people have tested positive for coronavirus there.

Teaneck also issued an executive order urging people to stay inside. They have at least 18 cases.

Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop says a man in his 80s tested positive for the virus and is in isolation.

A pregnant woman from Toms River is in stable condition after testing positive for the virus.
