Scattered showers and a few isolated thunderstorms will cruise through New Jersey by dawn’s light. The worst of the weather, where possible severe storms could be lurking, will be south of the Delaware Bay. Moderate to heavy downpours from LBI southward are possible for early-morning commuters as well.
The rest of Thursday will be spent under overcast skies, onshore winds and on-again, off-again showers. Temperatures take a tumble and will only reach the mid- to upper-60s.
Wednesday saw mid- to upper-80s – so there will be a 20-25 degree drop in 24 hours.
The rest of the week looks to be on the disappointing side. Cloudy, cooler and showery weather is expected through Friday.
Saturday will be the best day of the week. Sun and clouds to start the weekend with daily highs nearing 70. Cloudy, cooler and showery weather returns for Mother’s Day. Highs for Sunday will only reach the upper-50s.
The upcoming week looks to be a bit more improved, with temperatures in the 70s.
