Live music is back at William Paterson University after the Jazz Room Series returns for in-person performances.
World class musicians will take the stage at the Shea Center for
Performing Arts each Sunday through mid-November.
Opening each set are student
performers studying in the university's Jazz Studies program.
"You get a chance to hear our students, who are from all over the
world," says Jazz Studies coordinator David Demsey. "I think we have 20 U.S. states and
11 foreign countries in the program right now. So, these students are students
in name only. They're young professionals who are playing at the highest
level."
The next concert is Sunday featuring the Russell Malone Quartet.
Masks are required.
