11h agoThe Yonkers Police Department say they have received numerous reports of scammers targeting members of the Hispanic immigrant community.
News 12 was told scammers are approaching victims and promising to share a lottery prize in exchange for a down payment to secure legal services.
After convincing the victim to turn over jewelry or cash, the scammer then disappears
Detectives are still investigating local incidents and warning residents be mindful of the scammers.
