Workers, immigrant women rally in Passaic for COVID-19 relief

A group made up of workers and immigrant women rallied in Passaic Sunday with the goal of getting aid for undocumented workers who have been hurt by the pandemic.

A group made up of workers and immigrant women rallied in Passaic Sunday with the goal of getting aid for undocumented workers who have been hurt by the pandemic.
The Excluded Women March was held in Pulaski Park, where protesters are demanding $600 weekly payments from the state for unemployed workers excluded from unemployment insurance and stimulus payments for immigrant families left without aid.
Groups at the rally say there are nearly 500,000 undocumented immigrants in New Jersey. They're calling on Gov. Phil Murphy for assistance.
Vice President Kamala Harris introduced a Domestic Workers Bill or Rights as a California senator in 2019, but it never made it out of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health.
