A pedestrian bridge installed to improve the safety at the Woodbridge train station, has allegedly turned into a haven for drugs, alcohol and illegal activities.During the school year, the bridge provides access for students who live on one side of the tracks but go to high school on the other side. However, residents say there are other walkways and avenues the kids can take. Longtime community member Ruth Borne says despite efforts to chase them off, the teens keep coming back. Borne maintains the teens urinate, defecate and engage in sexual activities on the bridge. She also says she and her neighbors often find beer bottles laying around and see strange cars parked on the street.New Jersey Transit says they are aware of the problem. They say they are working with Woodbridge officials to determine the bridge's future.
