It’s a bittersweet ending for a local bowling alley. After over 40 years in business, Woodbridge Bowling Center will close its doors on May 21. The owners are retiring, according to a notice on their website.

"It is time to take the next step in our lives and enjoy retirement," the message said. “We want to thank each and every one of you for all your love and support over the years. WBC was not only a business to us, it was a family and we couldn’t have done it without all of you."

Signs displayed outside of the front of the building say, "thanks for 40 years!"

The community as well as past and present bowlers are invited for bowling and drinks specials on Memorial Day weekend. A final celebration will be held Friday, May 26 from 4 p.m. to closing, and Saturday, May 27 from 2 p.m. to closing.
