Police are investigating how a woman was struck and killed Wednesday by a garbage truck in Newark while lying on the ground. Prosecutors say the garbage truck was apparently emptying a dumpster.
Prosecutors say police found Vitina Stern, 41, lying on the ground on Clinton Avenue around 4:30 a.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
