Woman rescued from house fire in West Orange dies at hospital

A woman who was rescued from a fire in West Orange on Sunday morning has died from her injures.
The incident occurred at a home on Valley Way. When fire crews arrived, heavy flames had engulfed the basement and first-floor.
The homeowner escaped but the woman, who has not yet been identified, was trapped on the second floor. Crews got her out, but she later died at St. Barnabas Medical Center.
The homeowner was also treated at the hospital for smoke inhalation.
It was not immediately clear what sparked the fire.
