A Newark tenant is accusing a Section 8 housing inspector of sexual assault.
The tenant in a first-floor apartment on Chadwick Avenue claims when she let Newark Housing Authority Inspector Albert Foster into her home, he sexually assaulted her. The Essex County prosecutor says there are two counts of sexual misconduct in the complaint. He adds that the woman?s two children were home at the time of the alleged attack.
Foster turned himself in on Thursday and is currently out of jail after making his $50,000 bail. He is charged with sexual misconduct and official misconduct for allegedly using his credentials to gain entry to the apartment. Foster has been suspended pending the outcome of the criminal investigation. Investigators say Foster, a married man from Somerset, has no prior arrests. Police aren?t aware of any other complaints of sexual misconduct against him.
