Over the past few days, the state has reported record
setting numbers of new COVID-19 cases as residents lined up to get tested
before the holidays – don’t expect those long lines to go away.
News 12 New Jersey's Naomi Yane was at a testing site in
Hoboken on Sunday. Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla announced on Christmas that he
tested positive for the virus and is experiencing mild symptoms. He added that
he's vaccinated and had his booster shot.
Additional testing is also being offered in
Bayonne at a
drive-thru site. The state also started a new program where you can have a free
COVID-19 test mailed to at-home.
