The snow quickly tapered off into rain in most sections of New Jersey Sunday morning as a winter storm hit the area.
Snow changed over to rain in Middlesex, Monmouth and Ocean counties as early as 10:00 a.m., though cold temperatures in Bergen County kept snow falling through the morning.
Motorists remain advised to use extreme caution when driving, as the ice and rain mixture caused slick and slippery road conditions.
A wind advisory was in effect for all of Sunday, with sustained winds of 25-30 miles per hour and gusts of up to 45 miles per hour.
