ALERTS: Dense Fog Advisory for much of the state until 10 a.m. Wind Advisory for much of the state from 10 a.m. today through 1p.m. Tuesday.
Scattered showers and areas of dense fog this morning. A mild start, but once the cold front moves in, temperatures will drop this afternoon. Winds will gust to 45 mph. It'll be much colder tonight with all areas dropping below freezing.
Canadian air will settle upon the region the next few days with readings below average. Wind chills during the morning will be in the teens. A few snow showers are possible as we head toward midnight New Year's Eve.
FORECAST:
Today: Morning showers. Becoming partly sunny this afternoon. Windy. Highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Temperatures will fall into the 30s by sunset.
Tonight: Partly cloudy. Much colder. Windy. Lows in the 20s.
Tuesday: Partly sunny. Windy. Highs in the mid-30s.
Wednesday: Sun to clouds. Snow showers are possible toward midnight. Highs in the mid-30s.
Thursday: Mostly sunny. Cold. Highs around 30.
Friday: Partly sunny. Highs around 30.
