WHAT TO KNOW

The overall weather patter remains unsettled. There is a stationary weather system just to the south that will waft clouds and showers toward New Jersey starting Tuesday night and linger through most of the day Wednesday. Wednesday isn't looking like a washout and most of the state will not be dealing with a showery outlook. In fact, there will be brief, sunny moments, along and north of I-80.

Most of Wednesday is overcast. A very favorable wind from the southwest will allow the temperatures to climb into the low 80s, even with the cloud coverage. Passing showers will be possible in the central and southern areas of New Jersey. The best spot for more consistent wet weather will be along and south of Route 72 from Philadelphia to Long Beach Island. Otherwise just some splash and dash type wet weather for the rest of the Garden State.

Fair weather will be making an appearance beginning Thursday. Higher pressure associated with sunnier and drier conditions will drop in from Canada and the western Great Lakes. Temperatures will slip back into the low 70s but the sun should stick around through the weekend.
