Chef Franky Mosca,of Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace, shows News 12's Lily Stolzberg how to make Key Lime Pie.
INGREDIENTS:
1 each 9-inch Gram Cracker Pie Shell
2 ½ cups Condensed Milk
¾ cup Lime juice
6 each Extra-Large Yolks
1Tbs Lime Zest
1 slice of Lime
1Tsp Gram Cracker Crumbs
¼ cup Whip Cream Topping
DIRECTIONS:
1. In a medium size mixing bowl, add the condensed milk, egg yolks, and mix until well incorporated.
2. Using a whisk, whisk in the lime juice slowly until all the lime juice is incorporated in the batter.
3. Add the lime zest to the bowl and mix well.
4. Pour the mixture into the pie shell and cook at 325 degrees for 20 minutes.
5. Once fully cooked, remove from the oven and let cool.
6. Once the pie is fully cooled it can be decorated with whip cream, gram cracker crumbs and a lime slice.
