Wet winter weather and strong winds have caused extensive damage throughout New Jersey.
At the peak of the storm more than 100,000 customers lost power in the northern and central parts of the state. High winds downed many trees, and damaged buildings. In Summit, 12 people were left homeless after 60 mile per hour winds ripped the roof off their Park Avenue apartment building.
In Mendham Township, tree after tree was uprooted by the storm. Several trees fell on power lines. One family says they lost a very old blue spruce.
