? The rising cost of gasoline hurts New Jersey drivers at the pump. It also affects what type of flowers are available for Mother?s Day, according to a Westfield shop.
Employees at the Flower Zone say they?re paying more to fill up to make deliveries, which means they are passing those costs on to customers. Managers say they?ve also had to limit the type of flowers they order to less expensive varieties. Flower Zone only orders certain blooms for special occasions now.
The store owner has added up to $3 in delivery costs, but he says customers have been understanding.
