A lawn mowing organization marked Earth Day by helping others.
Volunteers with "I Want to Mow Your Lawn" were in West Orange partnered with Hoboken equipment-maker Sun Joe Friday to help cut a dozen laws Friday.
“I Want to Mow Your Lawn” started nearly two years ago during the pandemic to handle lawn care for seniors, veterans and people with disabilities.
"This is critical to a community who values aging well in a community,” said Laura Van Dyke, coordinator of West Orange Senior Services. “A community that's age-friendly and allowing people to age in place. Many of our residents are vulnerable and benefit from this type of support."
Volunteers also plan to clean up an additional 15 homes this weekend.
