? A New Jersey man is dead after the plane he was piloting crashed while approaching Orange County Airport in Montgomery, NY Friday.
State police say Thomas Dayon of West Milford was the only person on board when the single-engine plane crashed about 11:30 a.m. Residents reported hearing an engine roar followed by a loud boom. Police found the wreckage in the woods about three miles southeast of the airport. Orange County Airport?s director says the plane was coming from Greenwood Lake, New Jersey to pick someone up.
