Some Hopewell Valley High School students are heading online to take classes with students from around the globe.
This is the first semester Hopewell Valley High School is offering students the global classes with an online program called ?Virtual High School.? Students are able to log on at anytime to work on their assignments. As part of the program, chatrooms are available for students to get help from the teacher and other students around the world.
Teacher Douglas Brower says, ?[The program] will bring them classes that have no possibility of being run in the high school and it expands the wealth of classes students can take.?
Students say they enjoy the program because it is helping them learn to be independent. Some students also like the fact that they have a week to finish their work on their own time.
