An out-of-control boat sped toward beachgoers in North Wildwood, running aground and causing some scary moments.
The accident happened Tuesday afternoon on 12th Street Beach.
Witnesses saw what was happening and got out of the way. One family was visiting the Jersey Shore for the first time, and they certainly won't forget what happened.
"It actually happened in really slow motion although, it happened rather quickly,” says witness Erin Preiser. “We kept thinking the boat's not stopping. It's coming full speed straight toward us."
"People were running away, running to grab their children, my little sister was near the beach so I took off to go grab her to make sure she was OK,” says witness Christian Presier. “People just kind of backed away then converged right on it."
There were no injuries to report.
