A nonprofit is offering a free summer camp for kids with special needs in Lavalette.

Waves of Impact says it strives to create an inclusive and safe space for its participants and to provide the highest quality of surf and ocean-based therapy to those in need.

Families with children who have special needs often encounter extraordinary obstacles, resulting in social isolation.

Their surfing and beach experiences are designed to cater to the entire family, providing an opportunity for individuals and families to connect and form supportive friendships.

All surf camps are provided at no cost to participants.

The nonprofit operates on business and personal donations.
