Crews have repaired a water main break in East Brunswick Friday, but there are still minor delays on Route 18 at Tices Lane.

Crews were able to keep two lanes of traffic open as they worked, minimizing what could have been an ugly morning commute. Only one business, Perkins Restaurant, was affected by the break. The only issue crews have left to address is documentation of a culvert before they repave over the hole.

Officials say the water main break could have been much worse. The New Jersey Department of Transportation plans to construct a permanent patch for the roadway Wednesday.
