All Middlesex Borough schools were closed Friday because of a water main break on Route 28 near Lincoln Avenue. Police say the break was first reported around midnight.

A resident in a nearby apartment complex says she noticed a difference in water pressure after the break.

“It’s just low. The pressure is low,” says Taila Rodriguez. We have some water, but the pressure is low.

Route 28 was closed in both directions for a time. The New Jersey Department of Transportation says that all lanes have reopened East of John F. Kennedy Drive.

Repairs are expected to be complete by the end of the day.
