Washington Township man arrested on child sexual abuse material charges
A court-authorized search of his electronic devices revealed files depicting nude or sexually explicit images of children.

A 21-year-old Washington Township man was arrested Friday following a monthslong cybercrimes investigation into the possession of child sexual abuse material.
Val S. Tetro was taken into custody in Paramus on Oct. 23, by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit.
Prosecutors and cybercrime detectives first identified Tetro in March 2026 during an ongoing internet investigation.
A subsequent court-authorized search of his electronic devices revealed files depicting nude or sexually explicit images of children that were viewed, saved and downloaded.
Tetro was charged with possession of child pornography.
He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack pending his first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court.
