While some are enjoying the warm, winter temperatures throughout the Garden State, other allergy sufferers are feeling a bit under the weather.
Those who suffer from seasonal allergies usually feel great this time of year, but the mild winter has led to more serious health problems for some. Doctor Jay Horowitz, an ENT specialist at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, says he has been treating more people with sinus infections and other complications from allergies this winter than last.
Horowitz says grass is the main culprit for many allergy sufferers. The doctor adds that the colder weather expected next week should provide some relief. In the meantime, Horowitz suggests those allergy sufferers who haven?t had any symptoms start medication as a preventative measure.
