Wall Township officials and residents met on Sunday to address the surge in car break-ins over the last year in the area.
There have been 78 car burglaries in town in the last 14 months, officials said. Dozens were catalytic converter thefts.
Much of the break-ins have focused on owners of Volkswagens and Hondas.
Wall police put the meeting together after many residents said they'd rather not go out at night.
