Do you ever wish you can leave work at the door when you get home?
If you want, you can walk around like a severed employee on the severed floor at Bell Works, the building where the popular Apple TV+ series is filmed.
Lumon Industries is shown to take place in the Bell Works building, which is a place to work and play.
"We always say the ultimate amenity is people," said Ralph Zucker, CEO and Founder of Bell Works."Whatever you want you can live your life within these walls."
Ralph Zucker, the CEO and Founder, calls it a 'metroburb.'
Ironically, Severance, the Apple TV+ series divides work and personal life.
"If you think of Lumon, how did they solve the life work conundrum, they separated it," said Zucker. "When you're at work you don't even know that you have a life and you have a life you don't remember your work. At Bell Works it's the exact opposite. We bring life to the work place."
This building started as Bell Labs in the early 60s.
"It was designed as a place for scientists to get together, for serendipitist encounters," said Zucker. "To free people from the long boring office hallway, bring them out into the light."
But the Holmdel facility closed about 20 years ago.
"To take the largest vacant office building in the US and against all odds bring it back to life and have it to be celebrated almost worldwide as the way to return to your office, return to life how to celebrate both our history and your future," said Zucker. "For us, for me personally that has been a very rewarding journey."
