A Voorhees man has been found guilty of killing his wife.
Stefanie Caraway, 38, was found dead in a bedroom at the Lincoln Drive home of Shawn Lichtfuss on Aug. 3, 2021.
Police entered the home to find Caraway after a welfare check was requested for the 53-year-old Lichtfuss.
Lichtfuss was found in a vehicle at a Voorhees gas station later that same day and was taken into custody.
During an interview, Lichtfuss confessed to putting his wife in a chokehold. A medical examiner found Caraway’s cause of death to be neck compression and the manner of death to be homicide.
The Camden County trial lasted six days, with the jury only deliberating for 45 minutes.
A sentencing date hasn’t been announced.
