Barcade – a videogame-themed bar – announced that it would be shutting down its Jersey City location after 14 years.
“Our lease is ending and the last day of service will be June 15th. We hope to return to JC one day in a new location,” the establishment wrote in a Facebook post.
The company announced that a new location would be opening on Cortlandt Street in lower Manhattan this spring.
Barcade first opened in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in 2004. The Jersey City location was its second location.
“It’s been a great experience just being here and being a part of it. Thank you so much, Jersey City!” the Facebook post stated.
The Barcade previously located in Newark permanently closed on Sept. 12, 2022.
